Part-Time Cabin Inspector Job Overview
Morning Breeze Cabin Rentals is seeking a dependable, detail-oriented Cabin Inspector to join our team. As a Cabin Inspector, you will be responsible for inspecting vacation rental cabins after they have been cleaned to ensure they meet our company standards before guest arrival.
This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working independently, has an eye for detail, and takes pride in a job well done. We offer flexible daytime hours with no weekend work.
Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough inspections of vacation rental cabins using our company inspection checklist.
- Log into our internal inspection software to complete each inspection and log out once the inspection is finished.
- Verify that all rooms, kitchens, bathrooms, decks, hot tubs, grills, and outdoor living areas are clean, organized, and ready for arriving guests.
- Ensure linens, towels, toiletries, kitchen items, and guest amenities are properly stocked and in place.
- Check that appliances, televisions, Wi-Fi, HVAC systems, lighting, door locks, fireplaces (seasonally), and other cabin features are functioning properly.
- Identify cleaning issues, missing items, maintenance concerns, or safety hazards during the inspection.
- Communicate any cleaning concerns directly with the assigned cleaner and report maintenance issues or other concerns to the Morning Breeze Cabin Rentals team.
- Maintain accurate and timely inspection records within the company's software system.
Qualifications
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently.
- Reliable, dependable, and professional.
- Comfortable using a smartphone or tablet to access and complete inspections within our internal software.
- Strong communication skills.
- Ability to bend, climb stairs, lift to 30 pounds, and walk throughout cabins and outdoor areas.
- Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience inspecting vacation rentals, housekeeping, property management, or a related field is a plus.
- Basic knowledge of residential cleaning standards.
- Ability to recognize obvious maintenance or safety concerns.
