Job description: Concrete Driver (Full-Time)
Job Summary:
The Mixer Driver will safely and efficiently drive and operate a mixer unit taking concrete from the batch plant to a specified job site.
Reports to: Vice President of Company
Supervisory Responsibilities: None
Duties and Responsibilities:

Hold and maintain a valid Class A $24.25 Texas commercial driver’s license.

All functions of concrete delivery, (e.g., operation of Mixer Truck, washing Mixer Truck, visually inspect concrete in a mixer).

Exercise good judgment regarding work site access, unloading, and operation to and from the worksite.

Inspect truck for defects and safe operating condition before, during and after trips.

Required to follow all safety policies and procedures.

Help to maintain a clean and safe job site.

Performs other related and non-related duties as assigned.
Regular and timely attendance.

Required skills and abilities:
-
Hold and maintain a valid Class A Texas commercial driver’s license.
-
Must pass a Motor Vehicle Record check with minimal infractions (2 in the past 3 years).
-
Willing and able to pass a physical examination and a drug and alcohol screen.
-
Must be able to travel and work overtime, weekends and nights as needed.
-
FMCSA Drug and Alcohol Clearinghouse registration.
-
Must be able to read and interpret gauges.
-
Must be able to understand batching operations.
Must be able to recognize concrete characteristics.

Physical Requirements:
-
Must have good hand/eye coordination and be able to operate hand/foot controls.
-
Must possess good vision to perceive depth at close range and distances up to 150 feet.

Must be able to climb on and off equipment to operate and service.

Work is performed outdoors in all types of weather conditions
-
Work includes heavy lifting (typically up to 50-100 lbs.
-
Exposure to noise, fumes, vibrations, and heights
Exposure to prolonged periods of standing, kneeling, stooping, reaching, crawling, and climbing.

Driving: 1 year (Required).
License/Certification:
