Responsibilities
- Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support using proper patient transfer methods such as Hoyer lifts and manual handling techniques.
- Monitor and observe patients’ conditions, including vital signs, medication administration, and overall health status, ensuring adherence to care plans.
- Prepare nutritious meals tailored to dietary needs and assist with meal planning and preparation to promote health and comfort.
- Provide companionship and emotional support while engaging clients in meaningful activities that enhance mental well-being.
- Maintain accurate documentation of patient care activities, observations, and communication with healthcare teams in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Support clients with medication management under supervision, ensuring timely administration and proper storage.
- Assist with transportation for medical appointments or community outings, ensuring safety during transfers and personal transportation assistance.
Experience
- Prior experience working in group homes, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home health environments is highly valued.
- Demonstrated expertise in patient observation, monitoring vital signs, and implementing care plans for individuals with dementia, Alzheimer's disease, or other neurodevelopmental disorders.
- Hands-on experience with specialized caregiving tasks such as using Hoyer lifts, manual handling techniques, and patient transfer methods.
- Knowledge of HIPAA standards for maintaining patient confidentiality and safeguarding sensitive information.
- Familiarity with caring for individuals with developmental disabilities or intellectual disabilities support needs.
- Experience providing dementia care, memory care, hospice care or working within geriatrics settings is preferred.
- Ability to perform light housekeeping tasks such as cleaning to ensure a safe and hygienic environment for clients.

Pay: $500.00 per day
