Job Summary
The Staff Psychologist at The Mental Health Collective is a licensed professional (supervision toward licensure available with applicable experience) whose primary role is to engage with and support the client community. Our program is staffed with seasoned clinicians utilizing diverse therapeutic modalities to diagnose and treat adults 18+ facing mental health challenges. We provide neurobiology-informed, outcome-driven, clinical care in a community-based setting.
Key Responsibilities:

Community Building: Foster a supportive and connected community environment within the client milieu.

Group Programming: Lead therapeutic group sessions that integrate various clinical approaches.

Primary Therapist Duties: Manage a caseload of 5 clients, providing individual therapy and supporting their mental health journey.

Crisis Management: Provide immediate support during crises, ensuring client safety and stability.

Clinical Training: Conduct quarterly clinical training for operations staff, enhancing their skills and knowledge.

Administrative Leadership: Assist in clinical onboarding, manage team schedules, facilitate client communication, and collaborate on unique programming events.

Marketing and Outreach: Develop and share clinical expertise through writing blogs, leading trainings, presenting at conferences, and participating in other public-facing activities.
Collaboration and Support:

Participate in weekly treatment team meetings and bi-weekly case consultations with staff, clients, and families.

Communicate effectively with client families, therapists, and referents as needed.

Work closely with the Clinical Director, Assistant Clinical Director, Program Director, and Psychiatrist to guide therapeutic treatment.

Screen for and report suicide, homicide, abuse, and other risks to the treatment team immediately, adhering to all risk management policies.

Complete all client documentation within 24 hours of meetings.

Provide on-call crisis management as part of the full-time clinical team.
Education/Experience/Skills Required:

Doctoral degree in psychology from an APA-accredited university

Minimum of 18 years of age

Valid CPR/First Aid Certification

Required health screening

Current TB test

Criminal record clearance

Minimum of 1 year experience working in mental health

Preferred: At least 1 year experience working in a mental health residential setting

Preferred: Experience with documentation in KIPU, or similar EHR system
