Duties
- Serve food and beverages efficiently and courteously to guests during events, including banquets, weddings, corporate functions, and special occasions
- Set up and break down serving stations, ensuring all items are prepared and presented according to event standards
- Assist with food handling, plating, and presentation to maintain quality and safety standards
- Engage with guests to provide excellent guest services, answer questions about menu items, and accommodate special requests
- Maintain cleanliness of service areas, including bussing tables and clearing dishes promptly
- Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems accurately for order processing and payments
- Support catering staff with food preparation and setup as needed to ensure seamless service delivery
Experience
- Prior food service experience in a restaurant, banquet hall, or hospitality setting preferred
- Knowledge of food safety protocols and proper handling techniques
- Experience with beverage service, including wine knowledge and alcohol regulations
- Familiarity with fine dining or hotel service environments is a plus
- Strong guest relations skills with a friendly, professional demeanor
- Ability to perform basic math calculations for transactions and portioning
- Previous experience working with POS systems and catering equipment is advantageous
