Lead Epoxy Floor Installer
Elevation Surface Solutions LLC
Location: Spanish Fork, UT — Serving Utah County and surrounding areas
Pay: $25.00–$30.00 per hour, depending on experience
Job Type: Full-time
Join a Growing Company
Elevation Surface Solutions is a growing concrete coating company specializing in premium epoxy, polyaspartic, and decorative concrete floor coating systems for residential and light commercial customers throughout Utah.
We are looking for a dependable, hardworking Lead Epoxy Floor Installer who can lead projects, work at a fast pace, solve problems, and take responsibility for producing a high-quality finished floor.
This is a physically demanding, fast-paced construction position.
Our installers spend a significant amount of time grinding and preparing concrete, operating heavy equipment, lifting materials, mixing coatings, working on their feet, bending, kneeling, and moving continuously throughout the workday.
During the summer, garages and jobsites can become very hot. You must be comfortable performing physical construction work in hot and demanding conditions.
This is not a position where you will stand around waiting for the next task. Our crews work efficiently from the time they arrive at the job until the project is completed and the equipment is cleaned and organized.
If you enjoy hard work, take pride in craftsmanship, and want an opportunity to grow with a company, we would like to meet you.
Responsibilities
As a Lead Installer, you will be responsible for leading residential and light commercial floor coating projects from start to finish.
Your responsibilities include:
- Lead and organize daily floor coating installations.
- Operate professional concrete grinders, hand grinders, vacuums, and industrial dust collection equipment.
- Spend significant time grinding and preparing concrete surfaces.
- Repair cracks, joints, damaged concrete, and other surface imperfections.
- Mix and apply epoxy primers, base coats, polyaspartic coatings, decorative vinyl flakes, and protective clear topcoats.
- Accurately follow product mix ratios and coverage requirements.
- Calculate square footage and determine the correct amount of material needed for each project.
- Measure garages, stem walls, stairs, cracks, joints, and other surfaces.
- Lead and train other installers.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe jobsite.
- Load, unload, organize, and maintain company trailers, vehicles, tools, materials, and equipment.
- Communicate professionally with homeowners before, during, and after each project.
- Complete projects efficiently without sacrificing quality.
- Inspect completed work and ensure it meets Elevation Surface Solutions quality standards.
Math & Measurement Skills
This position requires good basic math skills.
A Lead Installer must be comfortable calculating and working with:
- Length, width, and square footage
- Feet and inches
- Fractions and decimals
- Material coverage rates
- Gallons, quarts, pints, and ounces
- Product mixing ratios
- Material quantities
- Percentage calculations and basic job measurements
You do not need advanced mathematics, but you must be able to accurately measure a job and calculate materials. Mistakes in measurements or mixing ratios can result in wasted material or a failed floor installation.
Physical Requirements
Please understand the physical demands of this position before applying.
This is an active construction job that requires physical work throughout most of the day.
You must be able to:
- Lift and carry 75+ pounds repeatedly.
- Work on your feet for extended periods.
- Push, pull, and control professional concrete grinding equipment.
- Perform concrete grinding and surface preparation for extended periods.
- Bend, kneel, squat, reach, and work close to the ground.
- Load and unload heavy equipment and materials.
- Work in garages and other areas that may become very hot during the summer.
- Wear respirators and other required PPE when necessary.
- Maintain a fast and consistent work pace throughout the day.
- Work 40–50 hours per week when project schedules require it.
Some days will be long and physically demanding. We want applicants to understand that expectation before accepting the position.
