Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and experienced Concrete Truck Driver to join our dynamic construction team. In this vital role, you will operate commercial trucks equipped with concrete mixers, delivering high-quality concrete to various construction sites. Responsibilities
- Safely operate and maintain commercial concrete mixer trucks, dump trucks, and other heavy construction vehicles in accordance with safety regulations and company policies.
- Deliver concrete and other materials efficiently to construction sites, ensuring precise placement for paving, concrete forming, or finishing tasks.
- Assist with the operation of construction machinery such as excavators, loaders, and screeds when required on-site.
- Conduct routine mechanical checks and basic maintenance on trucks and equipment to prevent breakdowns and ensure optimal performance.
- Follow all safety protocols related to concrete pumping, asphalt paving, rebar installation, and heavy equipment operation.
- Collaborate with site supervisors and crew members to coordinate delivery schedules and site logistics for civil infrastructure projects.
Experience
- Proven experience operating commercial trucks, including concrete mixers, dump trucks, or similar heavy-duty vehicles in a construction environment.
- Strong knowledge of construction machinery maintenance, safety regulations, and heavy equipment operation.
- Hands-on experience working on construction sites involving concrete finishing, rebar installation, paving, or asphalt work.
- Mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot basic issues with trucks or auxiliary equipment such as concrete pumps or screeds.
- Familiarity with construction site procedures including concrete forming, concrete pumping, excavation operations with excavators, loader operation, and site safety standards.
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with a clean driving record; experience in commercial vehicle driving is essential.
- Ability to work effectively in physically demanding environments while maintaining attention to detail and safety compliance.
