Job Summary: The Maintenance employee is responsible for assuring that the interior and exterior of the building is well maintained to include assigned housekeeping duties.
Job Responsibilities:
1. Maintains the exterior of the facility, this includes removing trash and weeds and maintaining trees and shrubs from the front, back and sides of building. Make sure the plants and trees are watered on designated days.
2. Maintains the interior of the facility, this includes any general maintenance, such as electrical, plumbing, carpentry, tile work, and any painting needed in facility, which does not require licensure.
3. Removing donations or other miscellaneous items from lobby to designated storage area.
4. Purchase requests for any maintenance equipment/tools needed for the facility to include pick-up and delivery of equipment or products. Submit purchase order to Supervisor before the time of purchase.
5. Complete the task of waxing floors and buffing the floors, vacuuming, sweeping and mopping, and shampooing the carpets.
6. Completes housekeeping duties as assigned by supervisor.
7. Ability to work and communicate with others effectively.
8. Maintaining facility and equipment to meet safety requirements to include but not limited to monthly inspection of fire extinguishers, fire alarms, carbon monoxide detector, proper lighting and replacement of bulbs and filters..
9. Other duties as assigned.

The position of Maintenance/Groundskeeper is classified as a regular, full-time, non-exempt position and is governed by personnel policies applying to this personnel classification.
The salary of the Maintenance/Groundskeeper is determined by the Executive Director and is reviewed on an annual basis.
