Harris Beach Murtha is seeking a Regional Office Manager to provide leadership and operational oversight for our Connecticut offices. Working closely with Office Managing Partners and firm leadership, this role is responsible for professional staff management, office operations, attorney practice support, and collaboration with firm administrative departments. - A college degree or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred
- 3+ years of business management and supervisory experience
- Experience managing office operations within a professional services environment; law firm experience preferred
- Strong leadership, problem-solving, planning, and decision-making abilities
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
- Strong organizational, analytical, and time management skills
- The ability to develop positive working relationships with attorneys, clients, staff, and colleagues
- Experience managing multiple priorities while exercising sound judgment and maintaining confidentiality
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
The Regional Office Manager will be responsible for managing office operations, professional staff, and administrative initiatives in support of the Connecticut offices and firm objectives. Do you have the DRIVE and DESIRE to:
- Supervise and support 31 Professional Staff (12 LAAs; 5 OAAs; 12 Paralegals and 2 PSCs)
- Lead staff onboarding, training, development, performance management, and offboarding activities
- Review and approve timecards, PTO requests, and expense reports
- Coordinate staff meetings, performance evaluations, stay interviews, and team-building initiatives
- Manage daily office operations in partnership with Office Managing Partners and firm leadership
- Coordinate facilities, technology, records, mail services, conference room management, vendors, and office services
- Lead process improvement initiatives and operational efficiency projects
- Develop and monitor office budgets, staffing projections, operational expenses, and office-related financial administration
- Coordinate business continuity planning, emergency preparedness, and office response activities
- Partner with attorneys and practice leaders to ensure effective delivery of legal support services
- Facilitate support coverage, workflow solutions, and resource allocation to meet practice needs
- Serve as the primary liaison between the office and firm administrative departments, including Human Resources, Finance, IT, Business Development, Records, Real Estate Management, and Professional Development
- Assist with recruiting, onboarding, employee relations, training, office improvements, and vendor management initiatives
- Participate in firmwide committees, management meetings, and strategic projects
- Assist with other duties and special projects as needed

Salary information will vary depending upon relevant experience for the position, geographic locations and weekly hours schedule. The anticipated weekly schedule for the Regional Office Manager is 40 hours per week.
