Inventory Clerk
A local company in Mobile, Alabama is seeking an Inventory Clerk to join their team. This role is responsible for processing purchase transactions, maintaining accurate inventory records, and ensuring all received items meet purchase order specifications and quality standards.
Job Responsibilities
- Process purchase transactions and receive goods both physically and within the system
- Verify that incoming items match purchase orders and meet quality standards
- Organize and manage incoming shipments
- Ensure timely supply of materials to production teams
- Update inventory systems after each transaction or job
- Conduct weekly inventory counts of consumables
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the warehouse
- Oversee maintenance of warehouse equipment and tools (e.g., air conditioner, compressor, etc.)
Qualifications
- Completed secondary education
- Strong attention to detail and professional conscientiousness
- High adaptability and versatility
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in receiving and shipping
- Forklift certification is an asset
- Proficiency in imperial measurements (inches, feet)
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, etc.)
- Experience in the aeronautical field is an asset
- Twist, kneel, push up to 200lbs
Compensation and Benefits
- Pay: $20/hour
- Schedule: Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
- Contract-to-hire position
