Must live within 50 miles of George West, TX
8/6 rotation, Wednesday - Wednesday, 10 hour days, day shift 7 AM - 5 PM
Hourly pay + in-field mileage at the IRS rate
Flowback experience is preferred
A Production Technician is responsible for operating, monitoring, and maintaining oil and gas wells and surface equipment to ensure safe, efficient production. They support daily field operations, troubleshoot issues, and help optimize production performance while following all safety and environmental standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate and monitor wells, facilities, and production equipment (separators, pumps, tanks, etc.)
- Perform routine inspections, testing, and preventive maintenance on equipment
- Troubleshoot and repair minor mechanical, electrical, or operational issues
- Record and report production data, pressures, rates, and anomalies
- Conduct well checks, fluid sampling, and meter readings to support production targets
- Ensure compliance with safety procedures, permits, and regulatory requirements
- Support interventions, startups, shutdowns, and field optimization efforts
Physical Demands:
The physical demands are frequent: standing, walking, bending, stooping, pushing, pulling, and repetitive foot, leg, hand, arm, shoulder, and torso movements. In addition, there are periodic demands of: operating power equipment, sitting at desk, utilizing computers and phones and occasionally lifting or moving up to 50lbs.
Required equipment/certs:
Must have 4 wheel drive vehicle, tools and laptop with Intel 5 processor. Mileage will be paid from first work location of the day and ends at last location before heading home.
Must have or be willing to obtain the following trainings:
OSHA – H2S
OSHA – Hazwoper training (8 Hour Course)
OSHA - First aid / CPR
OSHA - Benzene awareness

Pay: $35.00 - $50.00 per hour
