Job Summary:
SureStay by Best Western Seaside is seeking a friendly, dependable, and professional Front Desk Associate to join our hospitality team. As the first point of contact for our guests, you will be responsible for creating a warm and welcoming environment, managing check-ins and check-outs, handling reservations, and assisting guests throughout their stay to ensure a pleasant experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet guests warmly and check them in using our reservation system
- Process guest check-outs and handle payments (cash, credit, etc.)
- Answer phones, respond to inquiries, and manage guest reservations
- Coordinate with housekeeping and maintenance to ensure timely room readiness
- Resolve guest concerns professionally and efficiently
- Maintain a clean and organized front desk and lobby area
- Provide local information and recommendations to enhance the guest experience
- Follow all hotel policies and procedures, including safety and security guidelines
- Assist with light administrative tasks as needed
- If assigned to the morning shift, ensure the breakfast area is regularly stocked and clean during breakfast hours
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous front desk, hospitality, or customer service experience preferred
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to multitask and remain calm under pressure
- Basic computer and phone skills; familiarity with hotel software is a plus
- Reliable, punctual, and professional demeanor
- Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and evening/morning shifts as needed
