Duties
- Greet customers warmly and assist with their food orders, ensuring accuracy and efficiency using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS.
- Operate cash registers to process retail sales transactions, handle cash, credit card payments, and give accurate change.
- Support food preparation tasks, including assembling orders, maintaining food safety standards, and operating kitchen equipment safely.
- Upsell menu items and promote specials to enhance sales and improve customer satisfaction.
- Maintain a clean workspace by regularly sanitizing counters, utensils, and food prep areas in compliance with sanitation and food safety regulations.
- Manage customer service interactions by addressing questions or concerns promptly and professionally.
- Assist with bussing tables, serving food, and supporting overall restaurant or café operations to ensure a seamless customer experience.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in quick service or fast-food restaurants is highly preferred; culinary or food industry experience is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS; cash handling skills are essential.
- Ability to perform basic math accurately for processing transactions and giving correct change.
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly and energetic attitude.
- Experience with food handling, sanitation practices, and food safety management is desirable.
- Capable of operating kitchen equipment safely and efficiently; familiarity with café or restaurant environments is advantageous.
- Strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently during busy periods.
