HotRod Collection is seeking an experienced Collector Car Mechanic who specializes in repairs of high-quality vintage, classic, hot-rod, and exotic vehicles.
To be considered for this opportunity, applicants must have comprehensive knowledge of and the ability to perform heavy line to minor repairs on all makes and models from 1920 to current. You must be honest, hard-working, reliable, and have a solid work history and references.
The schedule for this opportunity is 40 hours, Monday through Friday.
Main Duties:
- Handle mechanical diagnosis, repairs, and maintenance in a quality and timely manner
- Vehicle inspections upon check in and departure with transporters
- Keep work area in warehouse neat and clean
- Work cohesively and respectfully with all HotRod Collection team members (other mechanics and detailers)
- Ordering of correct parts as needed
- Daily communication with supervisor on status of all vehicle repairs
Experience:
- Minimum of 5+ years of verifiable experience as an automotive mechanic- specifically working on older vehicles of all makes and models (classic, vintage, and antique)
- Ability to accurately assess a vehicle for any mechanical issues or maintenance needs, knowledge of the parts needed to achieve the fix, and confidence in being the decision maker on the best way to repair or maintain that vehicle.
- Highly skilled and knowledgeable in Vintage, Classic, Exotic, Antique, Resto-mod, and Motorcycles. (1920s models to current)
- Must specialize in mechanical work- Carburetors, electrical, engines, transmissions, suspension, brakes (drum and disc), A/C systems, exhaust systems, etc.
- Own a set of tools to perform the work.
- Valid driver's license, clean driving record, and ability to drive a manual shift transmission
- Self-motivated, organized, responsible, and punctual
- Detail-oriented, quality conscious, and efficient
- Ability to pass a detailed background check, drug testing, and driving record check
- Positive Attitude and Great Customer Service skills
- Ability to work M-F at our Roanoke, TX location
