Responsibilities
- Support age-appropriate activities that support early childhood education, toddler care, infant care, and preschool development.
- Ensure the safety and well-being of children by following all health, safety, and emergency protocols, including first aid procedures.
- Foster positive behavior management strategies to encourage respectful interactions and social skills among children.
- Collaborate with parents and guardians to communicate progress, address concerns, and share developmental milestones.
- Maintain a clean, organized classroom environment that promotes learning and creativity while adhering to licensing standards.
- Support children with special needs or disabilities by adapting activities and providing inclusive caregiving.
Requirements
- Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or GED required; an associate’s degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field is preferred.
- 1 year experience in a childcare or early childhood education setting is required.
- Certifications:
- CPR and First Aid certified (or obtain certification within 90 days of hire).
- Background Check / Fingerprinted
- Growing Futures Trainings
- Getting Started (Within 90 days of hire)
- ND Safe Sleep
- Mandated Reporter (Within 90 days of hire)
Skills and Abilities:
- Ability to work flexibly across different classrooms and with different age groups.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work well as part of a team and follow the direction of Lead Teachers and other staff.
- Patient, caring, and able to manage children’s needs in a calm and supportive manner.
- Ability to adapt to changing classroom environments and respond to the needs of children and staff.
Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
