Salary placement shall be made by the Board or the Board designee and is commensurate with education and experience pursuant to the APT Negotiated Agreement.

Previous experience credit granted for up to a maximum of ten (10) years of verified relevant experience.

9 Month Position
Description:
-
Screen and evaluate students to determine needs and breadth of speech and language services.
-
Schedule and provide therapy to students utilizing a variety of intervention service models.
-
Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing with parents, staff, and students on progress.

Meet regularly with teachers, paraprofessionals and specialists to discuss individual student's modifications or adaptations, ongoing learning issues, interventions or problems. Work collaboratively to ensure student's needs are met

Complete required documentation and data collection necessary for IEP reports, goals and diagnostic evaluations.

Participate in staff development and school improvement activities in order to maintain professional growth. Plan and incorporate best practices or new strategies.

Experience in Rtl practices.

Participate in events outside of the regularly scheduled work day such as orientation, open houses, conferences or extra-curricular activities.

Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Professional Educator License Registered in Will County
-
State of Illinois Speech & Language Pathologist Endorsement (SLPN)
-
Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR) Speech and Language Pathologist License
