We are looking for a talented and passionate Pastry Chef, Artisan Baker, or Cake Decorator to join our growing team. If you take pride in your craftsmanship, thrive in a fast-paced environment, and love creating beautiful products from scratch, we'd love to meet you.
Responsibilities
- Prepare, bake, and finish a wide variety of French pastries, viennoiseries, artisan breads, cakes, tarts, cookies, and seasonal desserts.
- Decorate cakes and specialty desserts with precision, creativity, and attention to detail.
- Maintain consistency in product quality while meeting daily production schedules.
- Assist with recipe preparation, scaling, mixing, baking, finishing, and presentation.
- Monitor inventory and communicate ingredient and supply needs to management.
- Follow recipes and production standards to ensure consistency across all products.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient workstation throughout each shift.
- Follow all food safety, sanitation, and health department regulations.
- Assist with developing new seasonal desserts, pastries, and specialty menu items.
- Package products beautifully for retail display, custom orders, and catering.
- Work collaboratively with the front-of-house and kitchen teams to deliver an exceptional guest experience.
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a Pastry Chef, Baker, Cake Decorator, or similar role in a bakery, café, hotel, or restaurant.
- Strong knowledge of French pastries, laminated doughs, cakes, breads, and dessert production.
- Experience with cake decorating, buttercream, fondant, glazing, piping, and finishing techniques is highly preferred.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-volume production environment.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Understanding of food safety, sanitation, and HACCP standards.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
- Early morning, weekend, and holiday availability is preferred.
- A positive attitude, strong work ethic, and passion for baking are essential.
