Responsibilities
- Safely operate passenger vehicles such as vans, shuttles, or specialized medical transportation vans on local routes and scheduled appointments
- Assist clients with boarding and disembarking, providing courteous and respectful customer service at all times
- Follow prescribed routes using GPS navigation systems to ensure timely arrivals and departures
- Maintain compliance with all state transportation regulations, including vehicle safety checks and documentation requirements
- Communicate effectively with clients to confirm schedules, address concerns, and provide a welcoming experience
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections, perform basic maintenance checks, and report any mechanical issues promptly
- Adhere strictly to traffic laws, safety protocols, and company policies during all driving activities
Requirements
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; experience in delivery driving or bus driving is highly preferred
- Proven experience operating passenger vans, shuttle buses, or similar commercial vehicles such as limousine or chauffeur-driven cars
- Familiarity with GPS navigation tools and local driving routes to optimize efficiency
- Ability to perform manual handling tasks including assisting clients with mobility challenges or heavy lifting when necessary
- Prior medical transportation experience is a plus but not mandatory; training will be provided for the right candidate
- Strong communication skills to interact professionally with clients and team members
- Knowledge of state transportation regulations governing commercial driving and passenger vehicle operation
- Ability to maintain vehicle cleanliness and perform basic maintenance tasks to ensure safety standards are met
