Llebroc Industries is a worldwide supplier of premium marine seating and is recognized for producing some of the finest marine seats in the industry. Located in Fort Worth, Texas, we are continuing to grow and expand our Engineering Department to support increasing demand and ongoing innovation.
We are seeking an ambitious, enthusiastic, and detail-oriented Upholstery Pattern Designer to join our Research & Development / Engineering team. The ideal candidate will be eager to learn our products and processes while bringing valuable experience and fresh ideas to help improve product design, development, and manufacturing efficiency.
Position Summary
The Upholstery Pattern Designer is responsible for creating and maintaining patterns for a variety of sewn products, documenting patterns using CAD software and manual methods, and developing prototype cushions for test fitting and approval prior to production release.
This position works closely with Engineering, Production, and Manufacturing teams to ensure products meet design specifications, quality standards, and production requirements.
Responsibilities
- Create, modify, and maintain upholstery patterns using CAD software and manual methods.
- Develop prototype cushions and sewn products for evaluation and testing.
- Perform fit checks and make necessary pattern adjustments.
- Document patterns, specifications, and revisions accurately.
- Assist with sample manufacturing and prototype development.
- Collaborate with Engineering, Design, and Production teams to ensure manufacturability.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives related to product design and manufacturing processes.
- Maintain quality standards and attention to detail throughout the development process.
- Assist in transitioning approved designs into production.
Required QualificationsPattern Making
- Experience creating and adjusting patterns using CAD software and manual methods.
- Familiarity with pattern-making software such as Gerber, Gemini, Pathfinder, or similar CAD systems.
- Strong understanding of upholstery construction and product fitment.
Sewing Skills
- Proficiency with industrial sewing techniques and equipment.
- Ability to operate sewing machines and related upholstery equipment.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
Manufacturing & Pre-Production Support
- Experience supporting sample manufacturing and product fittings.
- Understanding of manufacturing processes and production timelines.
- Ability to coordinate effectively between design, pattern-making, and production teams.
- Manufacturing experience required; upholstery production experience is highly preferred.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with AutoCAD, SolidWorks, ExactFlat, Gemini, or similar design software.
- Experience with CNC cutting software.
- Familiarity with ERP systems and manufacturing data management.
- Marine, automotive, furniture, or upholstery manufacturing experience is a plus.

Work Environment
This position requires work within a combination of office, warehouse, engineering, and shop-floor environments. There are currently no travel requirements associated with this role.
Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
