Stone Transport is seeking a self-motivated, team playing individual to work as a Driver Manager.

Location: Work from home to start. This will transition to a hybrid role in the future once our shop/office location is established in the west Cincinnati area (Fairfield to Cleves corridor). Must be located in or near the Cincinnati, OH area.
Schedule: Monday through Friday, available 5:00 AM to 4:00 PM. In-office hours 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM 3 days out the week. Weekend rotation for Saturday and Sunday on-call coverage. On-call pay provided for weekend rotation.
Compensation:
$65,000-$75,000 base salary depending on experience. Weekend on-call pay provided on top of base salary. Work from home to start with transition to hybrid once the local office is operational.
Overview:
Day-to-day management and dispatching of drivers across multiple plant accounts in the OH/KY/IN corridor. This person is the direct point of contact for drivers, builds the daily dispatch, and ensures every truck is assigned, moving, and operating to standard.
What this person owns:
Daily dispatch — building the load board, assigning drivers to loads, matching equipment to lanes, and adjusting throughout the day as things change. Knowing which drivers are available, legal on hours, and matched to the right job.
Driver communication — fielding driver calls, handling issues in real time, relaying schedule changes, and making sure every driver knows their assignment.
Driver accountability — morning confirmations, idle time follow-up, attendance tracking, documenting incidents, delivering write-ups and corrective actions.
Paycom oversight — reviewing and approving punches daily, catching breakdown pay entries, ensuring paperwork is scanned same day so loads process for percentage pay drivers.
Equipment awareness — knowing which trailers are down, which are available, and coordinating swaps and shop schedules with the breakdown team.
HOS monitoring — tracking driver hours, flagging reset needs, ensuring nobody runs illegal.
Weekend on-call — managing weekend driver issues, coordinating Saturday/Sunday operations when customers are running, and handling any breakdowns or emergencies that come up.
Onboarding support — getting new drivers set up on plant procedures, site access, paperwork requirements, and pairing them with experienced drivers.
Requirements:
1+ years in dispatching or driver management in heavy haul, scrap, aggregate, or industrial trucking. Understanding of FMCSA/DO
T HOS regulations. Experience building load boards and managing daily dispatch. Strong phone communication — this person lives on the phone. Ability to hold drivers accountable without being adversarial. Willingness to be on call weekends on a rotating basis. Must be located in or near the Cincinnati, OH area.
