Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced Human Resources Manager to support a growing automotive dealership group with approximately 300 employees across multiple Arizona locations.
This position is responsible for employee relations, compliance, leave administration oversight, investigations, manager coaching, policy administration, and employment risk management. The successful candidate will serve as a strategic partner to dealership leadership while leveraging technology and AI-driven tools to streamline administrative HR functions.
Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesEmployee Relations & Compliance
- Lead employee relations matters across multiple dealership locations.
- Conduct workplace investigations involving policy violations, harassment, discrimination, misconduct, and employee complaints.
- Manage and oversee corrective action and performance management processes.
- Provide guidance to managers regarding disciplinary actions, terminations, and documentation.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws.
- Maintain and update employee handbook, policies, and HR procedures.
- Leave Administration & Accommodations
- Oversee FMLA, ADA, Workers’ Compensation, military leave, and other protected leave processes.
- Manage the ADA interactive process and accommodation requests.
- Review medical certifications and coordinate return-to-work programs.
- Partner with legal counsel and insurance carriers on employment-related claims.
Manager Coaching & Leadership Support
- Serve as the primary HR advisor to General Managers and Department Managers.
- Coach leaders on employee performance, attendance, documentation, and workplace issues.
- Assist management in workforce planning and organizational development.
- Support succession planning and leadership development initiatives.
Recruiting & Talent Management
- Oversee recruiting processes and workforce planning initiatives.
- Assist managers with hiring decisions and interview strategies.
- Monitor turnover trends and recommend retention strategies.
- Support onboarding and orientation programs.
HR Operations Oversight
- Supervise HR administrative processes and systems.
- Manage AI-driven HR tools and workflow automation.
- Audit employee files and HR records for compliance.
- Prepare workforce metrics and management reports.
Qualifications Required
- Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
- Minimum 5 years of progressive HR experience.
- Strong knowledge of: ADA, FMLA, Title VII, FLSA, Workers’ Compensation, Arizona employment laws
- Experience conducting workplace investigations.
- Experience advising managers on employee relations matters.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
Preferred
- Multi-location employer experience.
- Automotive dealership experience.
- SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR certification.
- Experience managing HRIS systems and HR technology platforms.
- Experience implementing automation or AI solutions within HR operations.

Pay: $85,000.00 - $95,000.00 per year
