Town Hall Estates Arlington is seeking a compassionate, motivated, and licensed Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our dedicated in-house rehabilitation department. We are currently hiring for both Full-Time and PRN (Per Diem) positions to provide exceptional therapy services in our skilled nursing and subacute rehabilitation facility.
Working under the direction of a licensed Physical Therapist, you'll play an important role in helping residents regain mobility, restore function, and achieve their highest level of independence through individualized, patient-centered care.
Responsibilities
- Provide skilled physical therapy treatments under the direction and supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist.
- Assist with implementing individualized treatment plans designed to improve mobility, strength, balance, endurance, gait, and functional independence.
- Monitor resident progress and communicate changes in condition to the supervising Physical Therapist.
- Accurately document treatment sessions, resident responses, and progress toward established goals.
- Instruct residents and caregivers on therapeutic exercises, mobility techniques, fall prevention, and the safe use of assistive devices.
- Collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, occupational therapists, speech-language pathologists, and interdisciplinary team members to coordinate resident care.
- Participate in interdisciplinary meetings and care conferences as appropriate.
- Maintain compliance with state, federal, Medicare, and facility regulations.
Qualifications
- Current Texas Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) license in good standing.
- Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
- Current CPR certification preferred.
- Experience in skilled nursing, subacute rehabilitation, or long-term care is preferred but new graduates are welcome to apply.
- Strong communication, documentation, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary rehabilitation team.
