Front Line Trace Consulting LLC is seeking a Superintendent (MEP - Mechanical) for the Laguardia Community College Infrastructure Upgrade project in Long Island City, NY. The client for this role is the Dormitory Authority of the State of New York (DASNY).
Responsibilities:
- Provide daily on-site supervision and field coordination for the LaGuardia Community College Infrastructure Upgrade project
- Attend and assist with multi-trade field coordination meetings
- Review and prepare monthly payment requests and change order estimates
- Coordinate with other trades to ensure mechanical systems integration and project progress
MEP/Mechanical Experience Requirements:
This position requires demonstrated expertise in mechanical systems on large-scale institutional projects. We are seeking a candidate with hands-on experience managing the following MEP systems:
- Chillers and cooling towers
- Dry coolers
- Air handling units
- Chilled water and condensing water distribution piping
- Electrical upgrades including new switchgears, transformers, and emergency generators
- Fire pump and domestic water booster pump systems
- Fire alarm (FA) systems
- Elevator installation and coordination
Additional Qualifications:
- 8+ years of experience in construction including MEP
- 5+ years of experience as a Superintendent
- Large-scale building and rehabilitation project experience
- Mechanical and electrical installation experience
- Strong ability to perform detailed document review and coordinate complex MEP systems
- Extensive experience with vertical building construction on institutional/public sector projects
- Demonstrated background managing multiple MEP trades and systems on renovation/infrastructure upgrade projects
- Experience with DASNY, CUNY, or similar public authority projects is most preferred
