Duties
- Conduct thorough inspections of guest rooms, suites, and public areas to verify cleanliness, safety, and adherence to brand standards.
- Identify areas needing attention or improvement and communicate effectively with housekeeping staff to resolve issues promptly.
- Ensure all cleaning tasks—including dusting, vacuuming, mopping, and sanitizing—are completed to the highest standards.
- Oversee floor care procedures, including carpet cleaning and hard surface maintenance, to preserve the appearance and longevity of flooring.
- Monitor janitorial supplies and equipment usage, ensuring proper handling and inventory management.
- Enforce safety protocols related to industrial cleaning and custodial procedures to maintain a safe working environment.
- Document inspection results, report deficiencies, and follow up on corrective actions to uphold consistent quality standards.
- Work a houskeeping board depending on staffing.
Experience
- Proven experience in hotel housekeeping or custodial roles with a strong understanding of cleaning techniques and floor care.
- Previous supervisory or management experience in housekeeping or janitorial services is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with hospitality industry standards and best practices in cleanliness and guest service.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations related to cleaning operations in hotel or hospitality settings.
- Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills.
