SpenCertified is a vintage electronics repair and resale business in Mesa, AZ. We bring old-school audio and video gear back to life — vintage receivers, amplifiers, turntables, cassette decks, VCRs, and more — restoring them to their full potential and shipping them to customers nationwide who appreciate the craftsmanship of classic electronics.
We're looking for a reliable, hands-on Electronics Shop Assistant to join our small team. This is an entry-level role with a clear path to grow — no prior experience required, we train you on everything.
If you're the kind of person who loves vintage electronics — who gets a kick out of seeing a decades-old amplifier power back to life — you are highly encouraged to apply. Passion for this stuff goes a long way here, and we'd rather train someone who genuinely cares about the gear than someone just looking for any job.
Duties
This role starts with the fundamentals and grows as you prove yourself:
- Clean and prep vintage electronics to get them looking and functioning their best
- Test units to verify they work correctly before they move forward
- Pack and ship orders safely and accurately (order fulfillment)
- Keep a clean, organized workspace and follow shop processes
- Opportunities to learn repair and restoration work over time, for those who show the capability
Requirements
- Dependable and punctual — you show up and follow through
- Careful, detail-oriented, and take pride in your work
- Comfortable working with your hands
- Willing to learn and follow processes
- A genuine interest in vintage audio/video electronics is a big plus
- No formal experience needed — we train the right person

Pay: $16.00 - $21.00 per hour
