GotBrakes Mobile Service is a fast-growing Florida-based automotive startup offering professional mobile brake repair and light automotive service at customers’ homes, offices, and workplaces. We are looking for a dependable, experienced, and professional mobile technician based in Tallahassee who can work independently and represent a modern mobile-first automotive brand.
Position Highlights
- Fully mobile role – no shop politics or unnecessary upselling

- $40,000 base salary
- Performance bonuses can raise total compensation to approximately $46,500+ annually
- Occasional travel support to Jacksonville or Orlando during high-demand periods, with lodging covered

- Additional $250 bonus if technician receives 50 verified 5-star reviews in a single month
- Additional $750 bonus if technician completes 100 jobs in a single month
Essential Duties & ResponsibilitiesBrake Services
- Replace brake pads and rotors
- Replace and service calipers
- Service drum brake systems
- Service trailer brakes
- Bleed brake systems
- Diagnose brake booster issues
- Diagnose ABS-related concerns
- Diagnose and service electronic parking brake (EPB) systems
- Inspect brake lines and detect leaks
- Fill master cylinders with brake fluid
- Test-drive vehicles to verify quality of work performed
Additional Mobile Services
- Perform basic suspension repairs
- Replace hubs and wheel bearings
- Perform oil changes
- Replace batteries
- Replace alternators
- Perform basic tune-ups
- Perform minor small-engine and light mechanical repairs when within company-approved scope
- Measure tire pressure and perform basic vehicle inspections
- Maintain company vehicles, tools, and equipment
General Responsibilities
- Perform work efficiently and accurately according to repair orders
- Operate all tools and equipment safely
- Keep work areas and customer property clean
- Communicate clearly with customers and management
- Comply with OSHA guidelines and hazardous waste regulations
- Attend technical/product training as requested
- Complete other assigned automotive service-related tasks
What We’re Looking For
- 2+ years of automotive repair experience
- Strong brake repair experience required
- Intermediate-to-advanced mechanical skill level
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Experience with domestic and import vehicles
- Clean, professional appearance

- Must be willing to work some weekends
- Must be comfortable working outdoors and driving between service calls
- Must be able to represent the GotBrakes brand professionally in customer-facing environments
90-Day Probationary Period
This position begins with a paid 90-day probationary/trial period. Continued employment and long-term bonus eligibility will be based on:
