Program Manager

Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Program Manager to lead a team supporting federal security and operational programs in a secure, mission-focused environment. This role will provide day-to-day leadership, customer coordination, workforce management, quality oversight, and operational execution for a team supporting critical government security functions.
The ideal candidate is a collaborative, customer-focused leader with experience supporting Department of Energy or comparable federal security programs, managing multidisciplinary teams, and operating in classified, controlled, or highly regulated environments.
What You’ll Do
- Lead and manage a team supporting federal security and mission support operations.
- Serve as a primary interface between the customer and contractor team.
- Coordinate work across multiple functional areas, stakeholders, and work locations.
- Oversee staffing, onboarding, scheduling, employee development, and workforce planning.
- Monitor service delivery, operational performance, quality, and customer satisfaction.
- Identify risks, resolve issues, and support process improvement initiatives.
- Prepare and deliver status reports, briefings, and program updates.
- Support contract administration, quality assurance, performance reporting, and compliance activities.

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
- Experience supporting Department of Energy, national security, federal security, or comparable government mission-support programs.
- Experience managing personnel security, industrial security, information security, badging, access control, classification, or related federal security operations.
- Experience leading teams in classified, controlled, or highly regulated environments.
- Demonstrated experience overseeing personnel, schedules, quality assurance activities, operational metrics, and customer-facing service delivery.
- Strong leadership, communication, customer engagement, and stakeholder-management skills.
- Ability to manage competing priorities and resolve operational issues in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Teams.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior DOE experience supporting security, safeguards and security, personnel security, classification, badging, or related mission-support programs.
- Experience managing multi-functional teams across different locations or customer organizations.
- Familiarity with DOE security requirements, personnel security processes, access authorization, badging, HSPD-12/PIV, classification, FOCI/FCL, or information security programs.
- Experience supporting quality control, performance metrics, continuous improvement, transition planning, or operational reporting.
- Experience working with federal customers, M&O/site prime contractors, or other contractor teams in an integrated support environment.
- MBA or related master’s degree preferred.
Experience
- Five or more years of leadership, management, or program oversight experience required.
- Experience managing security, personnel security, or federal mission-support teams preferred.
- Experience supporting DOE or comparable federal security programs strongly preferred.
Clearance Requirements
Must be able to obtain and maintain required government security credentials and access authorization for assigned work.
- Active DOE Q clearance or active Top Secret clearance.
- DOE Q or Top Secret-level eligibility may be required depending on final customer, system access, classified access, and assigned duties.
