PAY RATE RANGE: $23-28/hr.
SHIFT: M-TH 3:30pm - 2:00am OR Fri-Sun 5:00am - 5:30pm
EXTENSION/CONVERSION: Eligible

POSITION SUMMARY
The Assembly tech assembles aerospace structural sections from parts, subassemblies and components independently and efficiently.
ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Install units, parts, equipment, and components according to blueprints and specifications using hand and power tools.
- Bolt, screw, or rivet accessories to fasten, support, or secure components and subassemblies.
- Drill holes and attach brackets, hinges, or clips to secure installations and subassemblies.
- Locate and mark reference points and holes using jigs, templates, and measuring instruments.
- Inspect and test installed parts for fit, performance, and compliance using measuring and test equipment.
- Position and align subassemblies in jigs or fixtures using measuring instruments, blueprint lines, and index points.
- Cut, trim, and file parts while verifying fitting tolerances for installation.
- Install bushings using liquid nitrogen or press equipment as required.
- Apply sealants or paint to customer specifications using proper safety procedures.
- Operate shop equipment including C-squeezes, arbor presses, ground stud pullers, cherry pullers, and hand tools.
- Verify finished parts meet specifications using standard measuring tools.
- Read and interpret intermediate-level manufacturing drawings.
- Identify production issues, notify supervisors, and recommend improvements or solutions.
- Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and proper PPE requirements.
- Maintain an organized work area by following 5S principles and continuously seeking process improvements.
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum 1-year previous assembly experience in the aerospace industry
- Basic shop math skills
- Ability to read and follow work instructions
- Completion of aptitude test during interview process
