We are seeking a compassionate and motivated Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our team. In this role, you will work under the direction of a Registered Occupational Therapist (OTR) to support clients in achieving their therapy goals through personalized, high-quality care.

Position Summary
The COTA assists with assessing, planning, implementing, and documenting occupational therapy programs for clients under the supervision of a Registered Occupational Therapist. This role follows all corporate guidelines, policies, and regulatory standards to ensure safe, effective, and compliant care.
What You’ll Do:
Assessment
- Assist in assessing clients’ activities of daily living (ADL) function
- Communicate screening and assessment findings to the OTR
- Review client conditions and complete therapy screenings as requested
- Share results with clients, families, and care team members
- Complete all required documentation accurately and timely
- Monitor and report client progress toward goals
- Assist in reassessing and updating care plans as needed
Planning
- Help develop individualized treatment plans to meet client goals
- Communicate therapy plans and progress with clients and families
- Collaborate with the OTR regarding treatment planning and updates
- Partner with the interdisciplinary team for discharge and transition planning
- Support discharge planning and documentation
- Ensure completion of all required discharge records
Implementation
- Deliver therapeutic interventions based on the established plan of care
- Prioritize treatments according to client needs and physician orders
- Educate clients and families on treatment purpose and progress
- Communicate ongoing updates with the care team and OTR
- Maintain accurate, timely daily treatment documentation
- Follow all precautions related to diagnoses and therapy techniques
- Communicate changes in condition to the OTR and care team
What We’re Looking For:
- Current COTA certification and state licensure
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Compassionate, patient-centered approach to care
- Ability to prioritize and manage time effectively
- Knowledge of occupational therapy practices and documentation standards
