Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Order Picker/Packer to join our dynamic warehouse team. Duties
- Use RF scanners and warehouse management systems to locate, pick, and verify items for customer orders with precision and speed
- Operate heavy equipment such as reach trucks, forklifts, pallet jacks, and manual handling tools to load, unload, and transport materials safely within the warehouse
- Ensure proper packaging of products to prevent damage during transit while adhering to quality control standards
- Assist with shipping and receiving processes by accurately documenting inbound and outbound shipments
- Maintain organized stock levels through effective stocking, order picking, and inventory management practices
- Conduct regular safety checks on equipment and ensure the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times
- Support warehouse distribution activities by loading trucks efficiently and verifying order accuracy before dispatching
Skills
- Proven experience operating reach trucks, forklifts, pallet jacks, and other heavy equipment in a warehouse setting
- Strong knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS) and RF scanners for order picking and inventory control
- Ability to perform manual handling tasks involving heavy lifting while maintaining safety standards
- Mechanical aptitude for troubleshooting basic equipment issues and performing routine maintenance checks
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in order fulfillment and quality control processes
- Effective communication skills to collaborate with team members and warehouse supervisors
- Prior experience in shipping & receiving, packaging, materials handling, or warehouse distribution is highly desirable
