- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage a caseload independently
- Experience in medical malpractice and personal injury litigation strongly preferred

Why Paralegals Choose Powers & Santola
Ownership of your work. From the moment a file is opened until the day it closes, it's yours to manage. You'll see the full arc of a case, not just fragments of it.
A private office — with a door and windows. Every paralegal at our firm has a private office, not a cubicle. Close the door when you need to focus, and open it when you want to stay connected to the office around you.
A team that is genuinely collegial — by design. We have intentionally stayed small and highly selective in the cases we accept so that we can continue delivering the highest quality of representation to our clients. Because we are a small team, it matters enormously that everyone likes and respects one another. That's why the whole team makes every hiring decision, not just the attorneys — no employment offer goes out unless every staff member and every attorney agrees to make one.
A smoke-free workplace. Smoking and vaping are not permitted anywhere in our offices, including private offices, at any time.
Benefits
Powers & Santola, LLP offers a comprehensive benefits program designed to go well beyond base compensation. In addition to benefits mandated by state and federal law (disability insurance, workers' compensation insurance, and unemployment insurance), we currently provide:
- Health Insurance — Fully paid by the firm, with no employee contribution, for the individual coverage of all eligible full-time employees not covered under another plan.
- 401(k) Profit Sharing Plan — Available to all employees, with a 4% firm match.
- Long-Term Disability Insurance — Supplements the mandated short-term disability coverage, under our firm's Disability Income Insurance Policy.
- 9 Paid Holidays — The office closes for nine national holidays each year.
- Up to 3 Weeks of Paid Vacation — Awarded annually.
- 10 Days of Additional Paid Leave — In place of separate "sick days" or "personal days," every employee receives up to ten paid leave days per year to use as needed.
- Carry-Forward & Cash-Out Flexibility — Unused vacation and leave days carry forward from year to year without restriction, and employees may choose to "sell" unused days back to the firm for their cash value.
