Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Housekeeper to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and orderliness across various facilities, ensuring a welcoming and hygienic environment for guests and staff. This role is essential in upholding the high standards of cleanliness that our organization prides itself on, whether in hospitality settings, commercial buildings, or industrial sites. Prior experience in cleaning or custodial work is preferred, but a strong work ethic and attention to detail are equally important.
Responsibilities
- Perform thorough cleaning of guest rooms, public areas, and other designated spaces according to established standards
- Dust, sweep, mop, vacuum, and polish floors to maintain a pristine appearance
- Restock supplies such as toiletries, linens, and cleaning products as needed
- Ensure all surfaces are sanitized and free of dust, dirt, and debris
- Handle laundry duties including washing, folding, and organizing linens and towels
- Report maintenance issues or damages to management promptly
- Follow safety procedures and use cleaning chemicals responsibly to ensure a safe work environment
- Maintain an organized storage area for cleaning supplies and equipment
Skills
- Proven experience in cleaning, janitorial work, or custodial services preferred; hotel or hospitality experience is a plus
- Knowledge of floor care techniques including stripping, sealing, waxing, and polishing floors
- Familiarity with industrial cleaning methods and equipment is advantageous
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to perform thorough cleaning tasks efficiently
- Excellent time management skills to prioritize daily responsibilities effectively
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while adhering to safety standards
- Good physical stamina for standing, bending, lifting (up to 50 pounds), and performing repetitive tasks throughout the shift
