Role: Patient Financial Representative Senior (Onsite)
Location: Houston, TX, 77092
Pay Rate: $19-21.50/hr. (W2)
Schedule: Monday–Friday 8:00 AM-5:00 PM
Hours: 40/week
Contract duration: 12 weeks
Responsibilities:
- Resolve outstanding patient accounts through insurance follow-up and account reconciliation.
- Collect, review, and verify patient and payer information to support account resolution.
- Investigate and resolve denied, rejected, or underpaid insurance claims.
- Respond to patient and payer inquiries via phone, email, and written correspondence.
- Maintain knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, commercial insurance, self-pay billing, and payer-specific guidelines.
- Accurately document account activity and ensure compliance with billing regulations and organizational policies.
- Collaborate with internal departments to resolve billing issues and improve account resolution.
- Meet departmental productivity, quality, and customer service standards while supporting Revenue Cycle operations.
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of experience in medical billing, patient financial services, accounts receivable, insurance follow-up, or Revenue Cycle.
- Experience working in a hospital or healthcare setting.
- Knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, commercial insurance, claims processing, and denial management.
- Experience with healthcare billing systems such as Epic, Meditech, Cerner, or similar EMRs is preferred.
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
