Kudzu Staffing is looking for full-time construction materials technicians to work from our Charleston office. Previous experience is not required for motivated candidates. My client is a local, family-owned geotechnical engineering firm based in Charleston, SC since 1951. We offer full-time employment with excellent benefits. RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO
- Monitoring, inspecting, and ensuring all work on assigned projects meets specifications, plans and quality requirements
- Performing construction material testing on aggregates, asphalt, block, concrete, sand and other items. Reviewing test results for conformance with project contract specifications
- Maintaining daily inspection records and overall project notes
- Reviewing contract plans and specifications for compliance with appropriate standards and contract documents
- Performing lab work and testing in accordance with ASTM/AASHTO Standards and Specifications
- Must be able to navigate a computer
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- High School Diploma
- Ability to use a personal computer, construction material testing equipment and to retain or gain training certifications as needed
- Must possess a valid driver’s license
- Must be able to pass drug and alcohol test
- Must be able to navigate a computer
Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
