We are seeking a friendly and highly organized Dental Receptionist to join our team. As the first point of contact for our practice, you will play a critical role in shaping the patient experience and keeping our daily operations running smoothly. The ideal candidate has excellent communication skills, a professional demeanor, and a passion for patient care.
Key Responsibilities
- Patient Hospitality: Greet patients warmly as they arrive, manage checkout, and maintain a clean, welcoming front office environment.
- Appointment Scheduling: Manage the daily practice schedule, optimize appointment slots, answer phone calls, and send text/email reminders to minimize no-shows.
- Insurance Coordination: Verify patient insurance benefits, update coverage details, and process claims accurately.
- Billing & Payments: Collect copays, process credit card/cash transactions, discuss treatment plan financing, and handle daily billing records.
- Records Management: Create and maintain accurate electronic dental charts while ensuring strict HIPAA compliance and patient confidentiality.
Qualifications & Skills
- Experience: 1+ years of dental front office experience is highly preferred (willing to train the right person).
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
- Software: Proficiency with Dentrix practice management software is a major plus.
- Knowledge: Basic understanding of dental terminology, procedures, and insurance coding.
- Interpersonal Skills: Strong multitasking abilities, a calm demeanor under pressure, and exceptional verbal and written communication skills
Pay: $15.00 - $20.00 per hour
