Semo Pasta + Wine is a neighborhood restaurant built around daily-changing, ingredient-driven food and a genuine commitment to paying our people well. We're looking for a Garde Manger Chef who brings precision, creativity, and a serious love of the craft to our cold line every night.
THE POSITION
This is a service-focused line position on our cold station. Day to day you'll be washing, cleaning, sorting, and storing produce; managing daily inventory; and executing composed salads, raw preparations, and dessert preparations that change with what's best each day. Our menu is written daily — no two shifts are identical. You'll need to be organized, fast, and take pride in the details that most people don't see.

- Starting at $10/hour plus tip share — average gross pay is $25/hour

SCHEDULE
Wednesday through Sunday, 5:00pm to 9:00pm. This is a nights and weekends position. Monthly events — Sunday Brunch, bread sales, cocktail classes — may require occasional additional availability. Part-time minimum is 3 shifts per week.

- Have you attended culinary school or had formal culinary training? -A certain level of base knowledge is important for this role.
- Do you have your own knives and tools? -We don't have house knives. Our chefs take care of their own tools — it's part of the standard we hold ourselves to.
- Have you worked in a scratch kitchen? -We make everything in house — bread, pasta, desserts.
- Are you able to make an emulsified vinaigrette? -We make all of our vinaigrettes in house.
- Are you able to make aioli? -We make all of our aioli in house.
