GENERAL DESCRIPTION
The Accounts Payable Administrator provides financial and administrative support for the organization. This role is responsible for processing all invoices received for payment and for undertaking the payment of all creditors in an accurate, efficient, and timely manner. This is a great entry-level opportunity for a recent accounting graduate looking to start their career!
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES AND EXPECTATIONS
- Processes outgoing payments in compliance with financial policies and procedures
- Performs day-to-day financial transactions, including verifying, classifying, and recording accounts payable data
- Maintains, verifies, and investigates discrepancies, if any, by reconciling vendor accounts and monthly vendor statements
- Communicates with vendors and internal clients to resolve any invoice or payment discrepancies
- Understands compliance issues around accounts payable processes to include but not limited to W-9 and sales tax
- Attends to other accounting matters and duties assigned by Accounts Payable Manager, Controller, Assistant Vice President, Administration, or other executive staff of TSi
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
A. EDUCATION
- High school diploma
- Some college-level coursework preferred
B. EXPERIENCE
- Prior accounts payable experience preferred but not required
C. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & COMPETENCY
- High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
- Excellent computer skills, including, but not limited to, working knowledge of Microsoft-based products (such as MS Word, Excel, and Outlook) and the Internet
- Solid understanding of basic bookkeeping and account payable principles
- Proven ability to calculate, post, and manage accounting figures and financial records
- Knowledge of and/or prior experience with accounting software preferred
- Excellent organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and efficiently
- Excellent communication skills, including, but not limited to, the ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing
D. DRIVER’S LICENSE
- Must have a valid driver’s license
- Must have clean driving record, satisfactory to TSi’s automobile insurance carrier
E. PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORKING CONDITIONS
- Job duties are performed remotely and will require working hours of 8am-5pm.
