Lucks Rescue Inc. is looking for a dedicated and compassionate Kennel Assistant to support our team with hands-on care for animals in our rescue program. As an assistant, you will play an essential role in ensuring the health, safety, and well-being of the animals in our care.
Responsibilities:
- Provide daily care for rescue animals, including feeding, watering, and removing waste.
- Maintain clean and sanitary housing (including the yard) by completing laundry duties, bathing animals, and sanitizing floors.
- Monitor animal behavior and health, reporting concerns to the veterinary team.
- Walk, train, and socialize the rescue dogs.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the transportation van before and after use.
- Assist with donation pickups, record inventory, and organize items in storage.
- Be flexible to assist with time sensitive tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Perform additional duties and assist with other tasks as directed by the supervisor to support operational needs.
Qualifications:
- Experience in animal care, fieldwork, or related roles is preferred, but not required.
- Passion for animal welfare and the mission of Lucks Rescue Inc.
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting, walking, and standing for extended periods.
- Able to take initiative when needed.
Shifts Available:
1st shift: 9am - 4:30pm
2nd shift: 5pm-8pm
Pay: From $13.00 per hour
Work Location: In person
