Responsibilities
- Perform thorough cleaning of all public areas, including floors, restrooms, lobbies, and outdoor spaces using appropriate cleaning techniques and equipment.
- Handle chemical agents safely by following safety data sheets (SDS) guidelines and proper storage procedures to ensure a secure environment.
- Conduct manual handling tasks such as lifting heavy cleaning supplies or equipment in accordance with safety protocols.
- Execute floor care routines including sweeping, mopping, buffing, and carpet maintenance to uphold high standards of cleanliness.
- Manage custodial tasks efficiently while adhering to hotel housekeeping management practices and industrial cleaning standards.
- Respond promptly to any safety hazards or emergency situations by following hotel emergency procedures to protect guests and staff.
- Maintain detailed records of cleaning activities, chemical usage, and safety inspections to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
Experience
- Prior janitorial or custodial experience in hospitality or industrial settings is highly desirable.
- Demonstrated knowledge of cleaning techniques, floor care, and chemical handling procedures.
- Experience with hotel housekeeping management or similar hospitality environments is a plus.
- Familiarity with safety data sheets (SDS), heavy lifting techniques, and hotel emergency protocols enhances your effectiveness in this role.
- Ability to perform manual handling tasks safely while maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety.
- Previous work in industrial cleaning or custodial roles that require attention to detail and adherence to safety guidelines will support your success here.
