Position Overview
Join Ace Landscaping as a Commercial Maintenance Technician, responsible for maintaining multiple commercial properties on a weekly schedule while also completing independent landscape improvement projects and assisting the hardscape construction crew when needed.
This position requires working independently to complete an assigned route of commercial properties while delivering consistent, high-quality results. In addition to routine maintenance, you will perform landscape enhancement work such as planting, mulching, bed maintenance, shrub pruning, and seasonal services. During busy construction periods, you may also assist the hardscape crew with installations and site preparation.
Attention to detail, time management, adaptability, and reliability are essential, as each job must be completed efficiently and to Ace Landscaping's high standards.
Key ResponsibilitiesCommercial Property Maintenance
- Complete weekly maintenance at multiple commercial properties on an assigned route.
- Perform mowing, string trimming, edging, and blowing to maintain a clean, finished appearance.
- Prune shrubs and ornamental plants to maintain proper shape and plant health.
- Keep curbs, sidewalks, parking lots, and entrances clean and free of debris and weeds.
- Identify and report property issues such as damaged plants, irrigation concerns, safety hazards, or site damage.
- Work independently while staying on schedule and meeting company expectations.
Landscape Projects
- Complete independent landscape enhancement projects including:
- Mulch installation
- Bed clean-outs
- Planting trees, shrubs, and perennials
- Shrub trimming and pruning
- Seasonal landscape improvements
- Follow landscape designs and installation specifications.
- Ensure all completed work meets Ace Landscaping's quality standards.
Hardscape Support
- Assist the Landscape Construction Crew as needed with:
- Site preparation
- Material movement
- Base preparation
- Installing pavers, retaining walls, and drainage systems
- Jobsite cleanup and final detailing
- Support the construction team while maintaining a safe and productive work environment.
Equipment & Safety
- Operate mowers, string trimmers, blowers, hedge trimmers, and other landscape equipment safely and efficiently.
- Maintain equipment cleanliness and report any maintenance or mechanical issues.
- Follow all company safety procedures and jobsite protocols.
- Take pride in the appearance of every property and project before leaving the site.
Qualifications
- Valid driver's license (preferred).
- Experience in commercial landscape maintenance or landscape construction is preferred but not required.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Strong work ethic with excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Positive attitude and willingness to assist other crews when needed.

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
