The Role
To support our financial operations, DDP YOGA is seeking a skilled, detail-driven Full Charge Bookkeeper to own the day-to-day accounting for the company and its affiliated entities. Because we run a lean, high-output operation, this role carries broad accountability: maintaining our books end to end, reconciling accounts across multiple entities and revenue channels, supporting payroll, and producing the timely, accurate financial reporting our leadership relies on to make decisions. Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, you will work closely with senior management and coordinate with our external accounting firm to keep our records clean, compliant, and audit-ready.
This is a full-time, hybrid remote/on-site position. Our ideal candidate holds a BS in Accounting (preferably supplemented by accounting CPE coursework) or equivalent work experience, and is an expert with QuickBooks and bridge software such as Webgility.
Location: Atlanta-area hybrid — work-from-home with weekly in-office meetings.
Responsibilities
- Perform day-to-day accounting operations and record financial transactions across multiple related business entities.
- Manage full-cycle accounts payable and accounts receivable, including vendor setup, coding, approval workflows, and timely payment.
- Reconcile intercompany activity and maintain clean, well-documented intercompany balances.
- Reconcile bank, credit card, and merchant/payment-processor accounts — including e-commerce, App store, and subscription-billing platforms — and account for settlement, refund, and chargeback activity.
- Maintain deferred revenue and recurring-billing schedules for subscription and membership products.
- Track inventory and cost of goods sold for physical product lines.
- Maintain fixed-asset and depreciation schedules, prepaid expenses, and accrual entries.
- Prepare month-end and year-end closing processes, including monthly general ledger reconciliations and journal entries.
- Prepare P&Ls, income statements, balance sheets, and cash-flow and budget-variance reports for management.
- Process and support payroll through our PEO, including reconciliation of payroll liabilities.
- Track and file 1099 contractor reporting and support year-end W-2 and payroll-tax filings.
- Support multi-state sales/use tax tracking, filing, and reconciliation.
- Assist with cash-flow forecasting, budgeting, and ad hoc financial analysis.
- Coordinate with our external CPA/tax firm on year-end close, tax preparation, and audit support.
- Ensure proper retention, organization, and backup of financial records and supporting documentation, and help maintain sound internal controls.
Requirements and Skills
- Proven full-charge bookkeeping experience, ideally supporting multiple entities or a multi-channel business.
- Extensive working knowledge of accounting principles, the full accounting cycle, and financial reporting requirements.
- Strong proficiency in QuickBooks (Online and/or Desktop) and bridge/integration software such as Webgility.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, large-data reconciliation) and general MS Office competence.
- Experience with e-commerce, subscription/recurring-revenue, and/or product-based businesses a strong plus (e.g., Shopify, Stripe, Paypal, merchant processors, App store payouts).
- Familiarity with PEO payroll platforms, sales/use tax, and 1099/W-2 reporting.
- Exceptional accuracy and attention to detail, with a track record of clean, reconciled books.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills; able to manage deadlines and close calendars independently with minimal supervision.
- Sound judgment and discretion in handling confidential financial, compensation, and business information.
- Excellent service orientation, communication, and interpersonal skills; professional and tactful with internal and external partners.
- Operates from our core values — honesty and integrity, professionalism and tact.
Educational Background
- BS degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration, or equivalent professional experience.
- Ongoing accounting CPE coursework (or CPA / Enrolled Agent credentials) strongly preferred.
