Key Responsibilities of the CT Technologist
- Perform high-quality CT examinations in accordance with physician orders and departmental protocols
- Prepare and position patients correctly to ensure accurate diagnostic imaging
- Operate and maintain CT imaging equipment safely and efficiently
- Administer contrast media when required, following established protocols and safety guidelines
- Review images for quality and accuracy before submission for radiologist interpretation
- Maintain accurate patient records and imaging documentation
- Ensure radiation safety standards are followed at all times
- Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, nurses, and the wider healthcare team to support outstanding patient care
Requirements of the CT Technologist Role
- Current BLS certification
- Current ARRT certification
- Minimum 2 years of recent CT Technologist experience
- Strong knowledge of CT imaging procedures, anatomy, and radiation safety
- Excellent technical, communication, and patient care skills
