Qualifications:
We are seeking:
A motivated and driven Business Development Representative who is passionate about helping patients experiencing addiction, mental health challenges, and co-occurring disorders. The ideal candidate thrives in a collaborative treatment environment, is relationship-driven, and possesses strong communication and outreach skills.
This role will work closely with referral sources, community partners, and the clinical teams to help support patient admissions, promote awareness of services, and contribute to each patient’s recovery journey with empathy, professionalism, and integrity.
This position offers an exciting opportunity for a business development representative who is eager to learn, grow, and work collaboratively alongside the clinical and admission teams while promoting the mission and services of Michael’s House.
The successful candidate will demonstrate compassion, adaptability, professionalism, empathy, and support the mission of patient-centered care while contributing positively to each patient’s recovery journey.
Responsibilities:

Develop and maintain professional relationships with referral sources, healthcare providers, hospitals, community organizations, and strategic partners

Promote awareness of inpatient addiction treatment, mental health services, and co-occurring disorder programs offered by Michael’s House

Work collaboratively with admission, nursing, clinical, and leadership teams to support patient referrals and community outreach

Conduct community outreach activities, networking events, and marketing initiatives to strengthen community partnerships and referral relationships

Educate referral partners, families, and community shareholders regarding available treatment plans, levels of care, and admission processes

Support the coordination and facilitation of patient referrals and admission inquiries in a timely manner

Maintain accurate communication, documentation, and reporting related to outreach activities and referral development efforts

Represent Michael’s House in a professional and compassionate manner while upholding Company’s mission, values, and commitment to patient-centered care

Assist in identifying opportunities for program growth, community engagement, and strategic business development initiatives

Demonstrate empathy, professionalism, and strong interpersonal skills when interacting with patients, families, referral sources, and multidisciplinary teams

Adhere to company policies and procedures
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor of Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, Marketing, Communications
Current Basic Life Support CPR certification that includes AED training and hands-on skills assessment
5+ years:
-
Experience working in behavioral health, mental health, addiction treatment, substance abuse recovery, detoxification, and/or inpatient healthcare settings
- Experience building and maintaining professional relationships with referral sources, healthcare providers, hospitals, and community outreach organizations

Experience working in a fast-paced, patient-centered healthcare or treatment center environment

Experience maintaining documentation, tracking outreach activities, and managing follow-up communications in a timely manner
-
Strong experience in communication, customer service, and professional presentation skills
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor of Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, Marketing, Communications
Current Basic Life Support CPR certification that includes AED training and hands-on skills assessment
Certification through the American Heart Association preferred
10+ years:
