Duties
- Prepare and serve a variety of matcha, coffee beverages, teas, and specialty drinks with precision and flair
- Handle retail sales transactions accurately using POS systems such as toast POS
- Provide outstanding customer service by greeting guests warmly, taking orders efficiently, and addressing inquiries promptly
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café area, food prep stations, and equipment in accordance with food safety standards
- Manage cash handling responsibilities including cash register operation, change distribution, and balancing cash drawers
- Assist in food preparation and serving tasks to ensure timely delivery of high-quality products
- Follow food safety protocols diligently, including proper food handling, storage, and sanitation practices
Skills
- Proven experience as a barista or in food service environments with café experience preferred
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with diverse guests
- Effective time management skills to handle busy periods efficiently while maintaining quality standards
- Basic math skills for cash handling, retail math calculations, and transaction accuracy
- Knowledge of food safety procedures and proper food handling techniques
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team in a fast-paced setting while demonstrating flexibility and reliability
