STARTING SALARY: $46,368 per year
**Position will typically hire at minimum pay and follow a step progression to maximum**
DISTINGUISHING FEATURES OF WORK:
This position is responsible for operating assigned vehicles and assisting staff in performing various repairs.

Operates a variety of vehicles to transport equipment and materials.

Operates equipment, hand tools, and power tools in performing various labor tasks in an assigned area.

Assists staff in performing sewer, water main, and related repairs.

Cleans and maintains vehicles, tools, and related equipment.

Demonstrates regular and predictable attendance, including attendance at required meetings.

EXPERIENCE AND TRAINING:
High School Diploma or equivalent (G.E.D.); related experience preferred; or, an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed above.
LICENSING REQUIREMENTS:
- Valid State of Michigan Commercial Driver’s License Class A with Air Brake Endorsement

Applicants hired without a Michigan CDL A License will be hired as a Public Works Technician, and must receive their Michigan CDL A License within 6 months from date of hire to remain employed.

DURATION OF LIST:
This list will be in effect for a period of six months.
POST-EMPLOYMENT OFFER REQUIREMENTS:
