Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Receiving and Shipping Associate to join our dynamic logistics team. Responsibilities
- Receive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments against purchase orders using warehouse management systems and inventory management software.
- Prepare outgoing shipments by picking, packing, and labeling products accurately, ensuring compliance with packaging standards.
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and order pickers safely to load and unload freight efficiently.
- Maintain accurate data entry of shipment details into ERP systems such as AS400 or similar platforms.
- Coordinate with carriers for timely pick-up and delivery schedules, adhering to shipping & receiving protocols.
- Manage stock levels through inventory management practices, including stocking shelves and conducting regular cycle counts.
- Ensure compliance with trade regulations and international trade laws during import/export processes.
- Support order fulfillment processes for e-commerce platforms by accurately picking and packing customer orders.
- Assist in maintaining warehouse organization, cleanliness, and safety standards.
- Collaborate with logistics teams to optimize warehouse distribution strategies and improve overall warehouse operations.
Skills
- Proficiency in warehouse management systems (WMS), ERP systems like AS400, and inventory management software.
- Strong knowledge of shipping logistics, order picking & packing, and warehouse distribution processes.
- Basic math skills for counting, measurements, and data accuracy.
- Experience operating forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment safely.
- Excellent data entry skills with attention to detail for accurate record keeping.
- Customer service orientation to handle inquiries professionally related to shipments or inventory.
- Familiarity with international trade regulations, trade compliance, and MRP (Material Requirements Planning) systems.
- Ability to adapt quickly in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy in stock management.
- Competence in using Microsoft Office tools for reporting and communication purposes.
- Prior experience in warehouse operations or logistics roles is highly desirable.
