Job Title: Inventory and Shipping Assistant
Status: Part-time, nonexempt (15-20 hours per week)
Location: Elverson, Pa
Starting Rate: $15-16/hour
Summary
The Twin Valley Coffee Inventory and Shipping Assistant will support the maintenance of all aspects of inventory stock, customer fulfillment, and retail support. This includes ensuring that quality products leave Twin Valley Coffee facilities and all retail locations are fully supplied.
Responsibilities
- Assist with overseeing inventory stock of all Production facilities.
- Inspect shipment contents and compare with records (manifests, invoices, or orders) to verify accuracy.
- Coordinate fulfillment of needs with Roasting and Cold Brew departments.
- Communicate with retail store managers about inventory needs.
- Address problems that arise with supply, inventory, and delivery to support retail operations as needed.
- Requisition and store shipping materials and supplies to maintain inventory of stock.
- Pack, seal, label, or otherwise prepare materials for shipping.
- Prepare and check inventory transfers to be aware of what the retail locations have received.
- Record shipment data, such as weight, charges, space availability, damages, or discrepancies, for reporting, accounting, or recordkeeping purposes.
- Compute amounts, such as space available, shipping, storage, or damage charges.
- Oversee general functions of the Inventory and Shipping Department when the manager is absent.
- Ensure all packages and products depart the facility within the stated goals of TVC’s delivery promises and standard of quality, as applicable.
Skills and Abilities
- Highly organized and able to ensure that inventory is accessible, accurate, and well-supplied.
- Basic computer skills, regular use of Google Suite and Microsoft applications.
- Possess a basic knowledge of Netsuite or willingness to learn within the first few weeks of employment
- Resolve issues as quickly and efficiently as possible.
- Capable of creatively addressing problems in the department.
- Insightful and supportive with forecasting future needs or expansion of the department.
- Proven ability to respond to customer inquiries or complaints with professionalism and integrity.
Physical Requirements
- Lift and carry up to 50lbs, move up to 125lbs with a hand truck
- Manual dexterity in hands and fingers
- Able to comprehend oral instruction or directions
- Able to see objects at close distance
- General physical activities such as standing for long periods of time, stooping, lifting, or walking.
