Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled carpenter with potential as a supervisor to help on our construction projects and ensure that all work is completed to the highest standards. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in various aspects of construction and carpentry, along with exceptional leadership abilities. This role requires hands-on experience and the ability to manage a team effectively while maintaining safety and quality on the job site.
Duties
- Supervise daily operations on construction sites, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and project specifications.
- Coordinate tasks among team members, providing guidance and support as needed to achieve project goals.
- Utilize skills in construction, trim carpentry, frame carpentry, and woodworking to complete projects and experience in supervision, takeoff and estimationg to assist in project planning and execution.
- Read blueprints and schematics to understand project requirements and facilitate accurate implementation.
- Oversee the use of hand tools, power tools, and heavy equipment while ensuring proper maintenance and safety protocols are followed.
- Manage various construction tasks including framing, concrete forming, rebar installation, siding, cabinet installation, door hanging, window installation and
- Ensure quality control throughout all phases of construction projects by conducting regular inspections and addressing any issues promptly.
- Maintain accurate records of work progress and report on project status to upper management.
Experience
The successful candidate will have:
- Proven experience in the construction industry.
- Strong knowledge of construction practices.
- Demonstrated ability to perform heavy lifting as required by various tasks on-site.
- A comprehensive understanding of safety standards related to construction site operations.
- Excellent communication skills for effective team collaboration and client interactions.
- Previous supervisory experience is preferred but not mandatory
- Drivers license and reliable transportation is required
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $23.00 - $29.58 per hour
