Position Overview
As a Caregiver with Companion Services of America, you will provide one-on-one, high-quality care to seniors. We offer flexible scheduling, includinghourly day and night shifts, and 24-hour live-in shiftsto match your availability and experience level.
Key Responsibilities
- Companion Care: Provide meaningful social interaction, emotional support, and mental stimulation.
- Personal Care: Assist clients with daily activities including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility assistance.
- Specialized Care: Deliver patient, structured support for clients managing Alzheimer’s, dementia, or other memory care needs.
- Transitional Support: Assist clients safely returning from a hospital or rehabilitation stay back to their home environment.
- Daily Living Support: Perform light housekeeping, meal preparation, medication reminders, and running local errands (groceries, appointments).

Job Requirements
- Experience: Minimum of 1+ years of experience in senior care, home care, or a related field (CNA license is a plus but not required for all companion roles).
- Skills: Strong communication skills, empathy, and patience. Experience with dementia or memory care is highly preferred.
- Background Check: Ability to pass a comprehensive criminal background check and reference check.
- Reliability: Must have a valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and auto insurance (preferred for running client errands).
- Attributes: A professional demeanor, strong work ethic, and a genuine passion for helping older adults maintain their dignity and independence.
