Job Overview

Duties
- Deliver personalized tutoring sessions focused on literacy education, including phonics, vocabulary, comprehension, and fluency development
- Develop and implement customized lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards and individual student goals
- Utilize e-learning platforms and learning technology tools to enhance instruction and track progress
- Adapt teaching strategies to meet the needs of students with disabilities or special education requirements
- Incorporate foreign languages such as Mandarin, French, Japanese, or other languages into literacy activities when appropriate
- Manage classroom dynamics effectively to create a positive and inclusive learning environment
- Collaborate with parents, teachers, and specialists to support student growth and address specific learning challenges
Qualifications
- Proven experience working with children in classroom or tutoring settings, especially in early childhood or preschool education
- Strong knowledge of literacy education principles, curriculum development, and lesson planning
- Experience working with students with disabilities or special education needs is highly desirable
- Excellent writing skills and the ability to communicate complex concepts clearly
- Familiarity with instructional adaptability techniques for diverse learners
- Proficiency in using learning technology, e-learning platforms, and classroom management tools
- Ability to teach foreign languages such as Mandarin, French, Japanese or other languages as part of literacy instruction
- Demonstrated success in tutoring or teaching English in various settings
- Childcare experience and understanding of early childhood development are advantageous
